Assignment Goal: Develop an argument about the causes of violence in The Sport of the Gods, and compare those causes with the causes of violence in other texts we've read in class. Focus on The Sport of the Gods. If you'd like to focus on May Day as another major text of this assignment let me know.
If you wanted to incorporate both texts, you goal might: compare and contrast how two different authors depict the causes of violence in two novels, using other texts from class to support your claims where appropriate.
